Law enforcement officers throughout California are looking for a man who allegedly shot and killed a woman in Santa Maria and then went on the run with their 9-year-old son.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Konstantin Morozov shot the boy’s mother on the 200 block of North College Drive. Nearly 4 hours later, police issued an Amber Alert for Daniel Morozov, the 9-year-old boy last seen in Santa Maria.

Police suspect Morozov, 48, is with his son and that he may attempt to flee the country.

Daniel Morozov is described as having white skin, brown eyes and brown hair. He is 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds.

Police describe the suspect,  Konstantin Morozov, as also having white skin, brown hair and brown eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.

Konstantin Morozov was last seen driving a blue 2015 Volkswagen Golf with a California license plate number of 7JGG242, the Amber Alert notification said.
