Shortly before 5 p.m., reports of the blaze brought firefighters from throughout the county.

Because of hot temperatures and winds, the blaze initially spread rapidly. Later Sunday, rain help curtail the fire’s spread.

As of Sunday morning, Pozo Road is closed between Rinconda and River Road. Officials are only allowing residents in the closed-off area.
