An Arroyo Grande motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning after he lost control of his bike and crashed, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Samuel Tyler Eddy, 42, was headed southbound on Valley Road, north of Sunrise Terrace in Arroyo Grande, when he lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle while going around a sharp right curve in the road. Eddy then drove off the road and hit two signs.

During the crash, Eddy was ejected from his motorcycle and landed in a field east of the road, according to the CHP. Eddy died at the scene.

A t 6:35 a.m., a passerby spotted the accident and called 9-1-1.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
