Six injured in SLO car crash

Two cars collided in San Luis Obispo Monday night leaving a total of six people injured.

The injuries ranged from minor to major, according to the San Luis Obispo Fire Department.

Before 11 p.m., a Lexus sedan collided with a Mini Cooper on Foothill Boulevard at Ferrini Road. The collision resulted in all lanes of traffic being blocked on Foothill Boulevard.

San Luis Obispo Police Chief Deanna Cantrell stated in a tweet that no alcohol was involved in the collision. It is unclear what caused the crash.

The accident occurred in close proximity to the location where, in August, an intoxicated teenage driver struck and killed a bicyclist.
