A fire destroyed a mobile home and a car in Arroyo Grande on Saturday morning. While battling the blaze, a fire fighter suffered heat related injuries. He was treated at a local hospital and released.

Shortly before 5 a.m., dispatchers sent crews to reports of a fire on South Traffic Way, near the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The owners of the site were working with code enforcement prior to the fire to clean up the property.

Several propane tanks blew up during the fire that could be seen from Highway 101.

Firefighters were able to save a home on the property. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
