A 30-year-old Solvang woman crashed into four vehicles, as well as an electric box, while driving under the influence in Goleta Monday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m., witnesses reported that the driver of a grey Chevrolet Silverado on La Patera Lane in Goleta was acting reckless. The driver, Renee Romero, was then headed westbound on Hollister Avenue when she hit a vehicle at a stop light at Los Carneros Way, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
Then at Glenn Annie Way, Romero hit an electric box and two moving vehicles in the roadway. Romero kept driving and collided with yet another vehicle on Hollister Avenue and Pacific Oaks Road.
Romero stopped after he vehicle became disabled at Hollister Avenue and Entrance Road. A deputy then took Romero into custody for felony driving under the influence, felony hit-and-run and felony reckless driving.
Authorities transported Romero to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries. She was due to be booked in Santa Barbara County Jail after she is released from the hospital.
A man who was inside the final vehicle Romero struck was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
