Residents were home when a 100-foot tree fell on an Orcutt home Thursday morning and caused major damage to the house, but the individuals who were inside at the time managed to evade injury.

The tree caused major damage to the at 4614 Martin Avenue home’s garage, as well as to the main part of the house.

A nearby power pole also collapsed as a result of there tree falling. Live wires then fell into the yard of the home.

The damage has displaced the residents who live in the home.
