At least five cars were involved in a crash on Highway 101 near Price Street in Pismo Beach on Tuesday morning, according to the CHP.

At about 7:38 a.m., witnesses reported the multi-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes. Dispatchers then sent four CHP units and one ambulance to the scene.

As of 8 a.m., northbound traffic is backed up for several miles.
