Shortly before 7 a.m. on Tuesday, the woman pulled her Ford F-150 into a driveway in the 1300 block of Illinois Way across from Eucalyptus Road in Nipomo. The woman tried to put the pickup into park but actually placed it in reverse.

When she exited the vehicle, her leg got stuck in the driver’s side door. A witness said the truck dragged her for approximately 20 feet before she broke free. The front wheels of the pickup then ran over her.

The F-150 finally came to a stop after going onto another driveway and colliding into a fence. The witness to the accident told a young boy in the truck to call 911, after which the woman was rushed to the hospital.

Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the woman.
