The Woods Humane animal shelter in San Luis Obispo is waiving adoption fees for all animals Friday through Sunday as part of its “Black Friday Clear the Shelter Adoption Event.” Adoption fees generally range from $65 to $100.

Dubbed “Share the love clear the shelter adopt-a-thon,” the shelter will wave fees from noon til 5 p.m.

At the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter, adoptions of animals 5 months old and younger are 50 percent off from noon to to 2 p.m. and 25 percent off from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m over the weekend. Adoptions of animals over 5-months old are 50 percent off.

Last year, the Black Friday specials resulted in 63 animals being adopted from Woods Humane Society and 74 animals from Santa Barbara County Animal Services.
