Santa Maria police are investigating a shooting that sent a 29-year-old man to the hospital early Christmas morning.
Shortly before 2 a.m., police received a report of a shooting on the1200 block of West Bethel Lane in Santa Maria. When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from a minor gunshot wound to the leg.
Emergency personnel transported the victim to Marian Regional Medical Center, where he received treatment and was released.
Following the shooting, two unidentified suspects fled the scene in a white, mid 2000s model Ford F-150. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
