A Nipomo teen is in jail after he was caught burglarizing his neighbors home on Friday morning, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Shorty before 4 a.m., a woman called 911 to report she heard noises in a detached unit of her home. Deputies then arrived at the home in the 900 block of W. Tefft Street and found the teen rummaging through the detached unit.
Authorities identified the burglar as 19-year-old Jim Montez III. Deputies arrested Montez III for burglary and booked him into the SLO County Jail.
