Arroyo Grande police determined a man sitting in San Luis Obispo County Jail set a fire last November that burned a truck and a home in a residential neighborhood.
Jesse Hubble, 35, is on active parole and has been named a suspect in prior arson cases. Hubble was caught on a surveillance footage at the scene of a fire in the 400 block of Pecan Street, according to the Arroyo Grande Police Department.
Photos of the Pecan Street blaze released by the Five Cities Fire Authority show a white Dodge pickup on fire and the home behind the vehicle burning as well. A photo released by Arroyo Grande police shows a trailer also burned.
Police have charged Hubble with arson of an inhabited structure, arson of property and three felony enhancements.
Hubble has been in jail since Jan. 2, when he was arrested by Morro Bay police for burglary and a drug offense, according to the county sheriff’s office website. Hubble’s bail is set at $20,000.
