Security guard shoots and kills man at Chumash Casino

A fight broke out between a Chumash Casino security guard and another man early Tuesday morning and ended with a deadly shooting. [KCOY]

Shortly after 2 a.m., the security guard shot the man in a casino parking lot. The man died at the scene.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s officials say the victim was possibly a guest at the Santa Ynez resort. Authorities have yet to release the identity of anyone involved in the shooting.

    I’ve never found security guards to be overly aggressive. Makes me wonder what initiated the altercation.
