The blaze started at about 10 p.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found roofing materials on fire and flames coming out of the restaurant rooftop.
Firefighters knocked down the blaze within minutes. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters escorted patrons back into the restaurant to collect their belongings.
Fire Chief Garret Olsen said a preliminary investigation shows the fire started on the rooftop near a neon sign and that there may have been an electrical malfunction. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
It is unclear when Woodstock’s Pizza will reopen.
