A Grover Beach police SUV was involved in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Pismo Beach Tuesday morning.

The police SUV was struck from behind by another vehicle, and the impact of the collision pushed the patrol car into two other vehicles, according to the Grover Beach Police Department. The collision damaged the back, sides and front of the police vehicle.

An officer who was inside the SUV suffered minor injuries. Other people also suffered injuries during the crash.

Grover Beach police are asking drivers to be mindful of traffic flow and to keep a safe stopping distance between vehicles.
