Hermelindo Martinez Sanchez

A 41-year-old Paso Robles man is accused of a host of sex crimes, including molestation of a child under 14 years old and rape.

On March 31, Paso Robles police arrested Hermelindo Martinez Sanchez and booked him in San Luis Obispo County Jail. Martinez Sanchez is charged with aggravated sexual assault on a child, lewd acts with a child under 14 by force, lewd acts with a child 14 or 15, rape by force, felony sexual intercourse with a person under 16 and continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the county sheriff’s office website.

Paso Robles police have disclosed little information about the case. It is unclear how many victims Martinez Sanchez is suspected of abusing.

An investigation into the case is ongoing. Martinez Sanchez remains in custody with his bail set at $1 million.
