A Santa Maria man is in custody in San Luis Obispo County Jail for allegedly molesting a child in Grover Beach.

Police officers responded to a Grover Beach home on the morning of March 15, according to KSBY. Detectives investigated the case for 11 days before meeting with Jay Vee Batul Estoque and taking him into custody on March 26.

Estoque is charged with three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, according to the county sheriff’s office website. Estoque has remained in jail since his arrest. His bail is set at $100,000.

Authorities have yet to release further information about the case.
