At about 1:30 a.m., callers reported a fire inside a home near the intersection of Pinewood Drive and Oakhurst Drive. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the injured woman and flames and smoke coming from the home.
Responders transported the woman to the hospital, while firefighters battled the blaze. Firefighters from Cambria, Morro Bay and Cal Fire spent about two hours extinguishing the fire.
The blaze damaged about 60 percent of the home. The condition of the injured woman has not been released.
Officials have yet to determine the cause of the house fire. An investigation is ongoing.
The Cambria house fire occurred about 25 hours after a blaze gutted the old Mercantile building in Santa Margarita and destroyed an apartment as well. Later Monday, a car fire spread into vegetation between Atascadero and Morro Bay and burned two acres.
