It’s a shame when someone passes away, especially under those circumstances. The article states that Mitchell Park is “home to dozens of people in SLO”. Mitchell Park and all of SLO’s city parks are home to nobody. SLO city parks are closed between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Ever since Mitchell Park has become such a magnet for dozens of transients the neighborhood surrounding Mitchell Park has become the victim of car break ins and personal property theft at a sky rocketing rate. Night time campers need to make use of the Prado Homeless Shelter or the homeless encampments near Prado Homeless Shelter. The closure of city parks between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM needs to be enforced.
