The city of Paso Robles announced the hires last week of both a new police chief and fire chief, neither of whom are new faces in North County.

Officer and bystander rescue person from Paso Robles fire

A Paso Robles police officer and a bystander rescued a person who was lying on the ground inside a smoky apartment that caught fire Sunday afternoon. The victim suffered burns in an apparent kitchen fire but survived.
